Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu creation, ingredient selection, and preparation of dishes.
- Supervise, mentor, and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
- Ensure proper food handling, cleanliness, and hygiene practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain inventory and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring all dishes are prepared and plated in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Help manage kitchen staff schedules and training programs.
- Collaborate with other departments (front of house, management) to ensure smooth service operations.
- Handle special dietary requests and accommodate any customer needs.
- Maintain an organized and clean kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Line Cook, or in a similar kitchen leadership role.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen protocols.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality food.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Food Safety Certification is a MUST
