Job Summary
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality food production aligned with brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to optimize operational efficiency and maintain consistency in food preparation and service
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control meet established brand standards to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain compliance with hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness regulations to uphold a safe kitchen environment
- Support menu planning by standardizing recipes and controlling food costs to drive profitability
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely purchasing of ingredients to prevent shortages and reduce waste
- Train and develop junior kitchen staff to build team capability and improve performance
- Assume full responsibility for kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence to ensure uninterrupted service
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant kitchen experience, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
- Proven ability to manage kitchen operations and lead culinary teams effectively
- Experience in concept-driven or specialty cuisine operations, maintaining brand uniqueness and culinary standards
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and plating standards
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage a dynamic kitchen environment
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
