Job Scope:
Solutions Design
- Lead the design of operational and technology solutions for new business opportunities, customer requirements, and internal transformation initiatives.
- Develop detailed solution blueprints, including process flows, capacity models, layout designs, system requirements, and cost estimates.
- Conduct feasibility studies, scenario modelling, and risk assessments to recommend optimal solutions.
Innovation & Technology Enablement
- Identify opportunities to incorporate automation, digital tools, and smart technologies to improve productivity and quality.
- Evaluate new technologies (e.g., automation systems, robotics, IoT, data analytics platforms) and lead pilot implementation where relevant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation initiatives and support enterprise digitalisation roadmaps.
Project Support & Implementation
- Support solution transition from design to implementation by providing technical guidance, documentation, and design clarifications.
- Work closely with operations, engineering, IT, and vendors to ensure solutions are delivered according to specifications and performance targets.
- Perform post-implementation reviews and optimise solutions based on operational feedback.
Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Participate in customer discussions, presentations, and site visits to articulate proposed solutions and value propositions.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical design elements.
- Manage communication with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely project delivery.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse operational performance data to identify improvement opportunities and develop engineering-based recommendations.
- Lead process optimisation initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce cost, and improve service levels.
- Develop and standardise engineering design tools, templates, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Systems, Logistics, or related field).
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in solutions design, industrial engineering, operations excellence, or logistics engineering.
- Experience in 3PL, warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, or technical solution development preferred.
- Strong capability in process mapping, layout design, resource modelling, and capacity planning.
- Proficiency in engineering tools (AutoCAD, simulation software, data analytics tools).
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, material flow principles, automation systems, and supply chain technologies.
- Knowledge of digital technologies such as WMS/WCS, IoT, robotics, Power BI, or optimisation tools is an advantage.
