Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Solution Design and Assessment Conduct thorough assessment and recommendation of technical solutions, including security frameworks, system integrations, and interface designs to meet business requirements. Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies for potential adoption within government systems, ensuring alignment with IM8 requirements and government policies.

Architecture Development Develop holistic and complete service architectures based on the Authority's specific requirements. Define architectural principles, design patterns, and technical standards that ensure scalability, reliability, and security. Create comprehensive technical documentation for Change Advisory Board (CAB) approval processes.

Solution Implementation and Support Design and support the development and deployment of technical solutions identified by the Authority. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including project managers, business users, and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Stakeholder Management Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solution alignment with organisational objectives. Liaise with vendors, partners, and technical teams for coordinated implementation and verification of solutions. Conduct training sessions and create user documentation as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognised institution.

Experience Requirements Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in solution architecture, software engineering, and technical leadership roles. Demonstrated experience in government or highly regulated environments, with understanding of compliance requirements and security frameworks.

Technical Competencies Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies including C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET for full-stack development. Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, with experience in cloud migration and deployment strategies. Strong database design and management skills with MS-SQL Server, including both on-premises and cloud-based implementations.

Integration and API Experience Proven experience with system integrations, particularly Microsoft Graph API for Office 365 integration and Exchange Web Services. Knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, and Azure AD for identity management solutions. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation for system interoperability.

Government Systems Knowledge Understanding of government requirements including IM8 compliance and government commercial cloud. Experience with government procurement processes and ability to work within regulatory frameworks.
