About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to lead digital transformation initiatives across smart warehouse, logistics, and automation environments. This role will bridge IT, OT, and automation systems to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance supply chain solutions.
You will drive architecture strategy, full-stack development, system integration, and data analytics initiatives to enable next-generation smart warehouse capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Smart Warehouse
- Integrate IoT, RFID, Vision AI, and AGVs/AMRs with enterprise platforms.
- Support automation projects including e-lockers, pick-to-light systems, and robotic arms, ensuring data synchronization and operational reliability.
- Design secure IT/OT network segmentation for remote monitoring and maintenance.
- Collaborate with vendors and system integrators to ensure interoperability and optimal performance.
Application & Full-Stack Development
- Lead design and development of supply chain applications (dashboards, asset tracking, workflow systems).
- Deliver scalable IT solutions using modern technology stacks such as React, Angular, Node.js, .NET, and Python.
- Architect API integrations across WMS, ERP, and automation subsystems.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker), Kubernetes, and cloud deployments.
- Evaluate low-code platforms (OutSystems, PowerApps) for rapid prototyping.
Digital Architecture & Strategy
- Maintain end-to-end architecture across logistics, warehouse, and transport systems.
- Align technology roadmap with enterprise standards, data strategies, and business objectives.
- Design hybrid-cloud environments using VCF, Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, and API Management.
- Establish IT/OT governance frameworks and cybersecurity standards (ISO27001, SOC 2, IM8).
Data & Analytics
- Build data pipelines and event-driven architectures supporting Synapse, Power BI, and AI-powered dashboards.
- Deliver analytics insights on warehouse throughput, fleet utilisation, and automation uptime.
- Ensure data governance, system integration consistency, and data quality standards.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as liaison between IT, Strategy, Operations Technology, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.
- Lead architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and vendor evaluations.
- Mentor development teams on coding standards, integration best practices, and secure deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 710 years of experience in IT architecture and software development.
- Proven experience designing and integrating systems such as WMS, OMS, SAP, CMS, and IoT/automation platforms.
- Familiarity with PLC, WES, WCS, robotics integration, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA).
- Strong cloud expertise (Azure/AWS), containerization, and API security.
- Hands-on technical skills in:
- .NET Core, Node.js, Java Spring, Python
- React / Angular
- REST / GraphQL APIs
- Knowledge of analytics and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau) for supply chain KPIs.
- Certifications such as ITIL, Azure Architect, CISSP are advantageous.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
