Solution Product Manager / Pre-sales Solution Engineer (Acquiring & Payments)
Location: Singapore/Malaysia/Shenzhen / Shanghai / Hong Kong
Role Overview
The Solution Product Manager serves as a key bridge between Business Development (BD) and Product/Engineering teams, owning the end-to-end design and delivery of payment and acquiring solutions from pre-sales through go-live.
You will help banks, brands, and fintech partners rapidly integrate our payment capabilitiesincluding card payments, e-wallets, QR payments, bank transfers, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL)ensuring solutions are commercially viable, technically feasible, compliant, and scalable, while improving payment conversion rates and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-sales & Solution Design
Partner with BD teams during commercial discussions to understand clients business models and payment use cases;
Translate client requirements into standardised acquiring and payment solutions (API / SDK / Portal / White-label);
Prepare Partner Solution Documents, including:
Functional scope
Data flows
Payment journeys
KYC / settlement structures
Compliance considerations
Evaluate feasibility and impact of customised requirements, clearly defining product boundaries.
Integration & Go-Live Delivery
Act as the primary product and technical point of contact for clients;
Coordinate closely with internal Product, Engineering, Settlement, and Risk teams;
Produce delivery artefacts such as:
Integration Guides
UAT Checklists
Go-live Plans
Track client integration, testing, and go-live progress to ensure delivery quality;
Capture best practices and convert delivery experience into reusable templates and internal knowledge.
Product Standardisation & Feedback Loop
Consolidate common client requirements and drive productisation;
Continuously improve standard APIs, SDKs, and solution templates;
Contribute to enhancements of the Developer Portal and Sandbox, improving integration experience.
Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Management
Establish structured handover mechanisms across BD, Implementation, and Support teams;
Maintain solution FAQs and internal knowledge bases;
Provide regular product and technical training to BD and Partner Success teams.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, FinTech, Payments, or related fields preferred;
5+ years of experience in Product Management, Solution Architecture, or Technical Consulting;
Hands-on knowledge in at least one of the following domains:
Acquiring / Payment Processing / Clearing & Settlement / FX
Card payments, e-wallets, QR payments, BNPL
Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) or Fintech API platforms
Ability to read and write API documentation;
Strong cross-functional communication skills;
Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Nice to Have
Experience working with banks, payment institutions, or card schemes (Visa/Mastercard);
Familiarity with ISO8583, PCI-DSS, KYC/KYB standards;
Experience managing UAT and delivery projects;
Experience collaborating with multi-country or distributed teams.
