Responsibilities
Lead the planning, deployment, and continuous improvement of DHL's Transport Management System (TMS) and DeliveryConnect solutions across multiple countries. Ensure successful implementation, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with regional product strategy while driving process harmonization and operational excellence.
Project Planning & Delivery
- Plan and execute end-to-end project activities including scheduling, controlling, reporting, and implementation.
- Ensure all elements for successful deployment are in place prior to and during implementation.
- Deliver project milestones on time, within scope, budget, and agreed quality standards.
- Develop detailed implementation plans for TMS and DeliveryConnect projects, including scope management, gap analysis, functional specifications, design, and UAT support.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; implement effective solutions to resolve issues.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure adherence to documented transition processes and post-implementation support requirements.
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external customers, and vendors.
- Liaise with DHL customers and business development teams to understand supply chain and transport requirements, ensuring delivery of agreed solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and foster collaboration across teams and countries.
System & Process Excellence
- Ensure system configuration, training, processes, and functionality are well documented and knowledge is shared across DHL Transport and IT communities.
- Design, develop, test, and implement standards for TMS delivery, deployment, and integration components.
- Develop integration standards, mapping specifications, and enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement and process harmonization across countries.
Product & Change Management
- Review and create business cases; support the Product Manager in maintaining an updated strategic roadmap for TMS and DeliveryConnect.
- Assess and provide solutions for change requests, ensuring alignment with product strategy and best practices.
- Prioritize tasks and projects effectively, track progress, and ensure systematic follow-up.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Design and deliver training for E2O TMS, DeliveryConnect, and supporting applications.
- Develop SOPs, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources (e.g., documentation, presentations, videos).
- Build capability across countries through formal training and alternative media.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work with DHL Transport Operations and country IT teams to deploy and enhance TMS and related applications.
- Partner with vendors to develop robust, supportable solutions that meet DHL requirements.
- Act as a role model, share knowledge, and encourage cross-team effectiveness.
Problem-Solving & Autonomy
- Recommend process improvements and harmonize disparate processes across multiple countries.
- Deliver change and meet customer expectations in complex environments with limited resources.
- Apply deep understanding of TMS and DeliveryConnect principles to design and implement practical solutions.
- Deploy technical and functional solutions aligned with regional product strategy.
Requirements
- 5 - 7 Years in Supply Chain (transport) industry
- Appropriate tertiary and Quality-related qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS) and related applications, preferably BluJay/E2O TMS knowledge.
- Specialist level knowledge of S/W development lifecycle & support - advanced understanding of technical and software architecture
- Proven experience in project management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage complex projects across multiple countries and cultures.
- Ability to influence without authority is required strongly / significantly in this role
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in process improvement and harmonization initiatives.
- Technical and functional expertise in integration standards and system deployment.
- The role holder must display self initiative but understand the role as an integrated team role
