Our Client is looking for a Solution Engineer / Forward-Deployed Engineer to join their team in a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and customers, working hands-on with real client use cases to deploy, customize, and extend a sophisticated document translation and processing platform. This is a high-impact engineering position-not a pre-sales demo role. You will be expected to write production code, ship integrations, and influence the product's strategic direction based on real-world enterprise requirements.
Deployment and Integration: Work directly with enterprise clients to deploy the platform into real customer environments, integrating it seamlessly into their existing workflows, systems, and document pipelines.
Forward-Deployed Engineering: Write Go or Java services, scripts, and extensions to support custom document flows, ingestion pipelines, API integrations, and performance optimizations.
Product Influence: Act as a bridge between the field and the core team, partnering with product and core engineering to convert customer pain points and field insights into scalable platform features.
End-to-End Workflow Ownership: Manage complex document workflows-from PDFs and Word files to scanned images-helping clients process, translate, reconstruct, and validate documents at scale.
AI Pipeline Optimization: Design and optimize AI-driven pipelines covering document ingestion, translation, formatting reconstruction, versioning, and delivery.
Regulated Industry Support: Handle high-stakes deployments in legal, financial, and other regulated industries where accuracy, reliability, and auditability are critical.
Efficiency: Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining production-grade quality.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of experience in backend, full-stack, or platform engineering.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Go or Java, backed by solid API and system design fundamentals.
Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience with PDF, Word, image, or document processing systems.
Soft Skills: Comfortable working closely with customers and navigating ambiguous requirements must possess strong problem-solving abilities and a bias toward shipping code.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required to facilitate technical discussions and effectively collaborate with Mandarin-speaking clients and regional stakeholders.
Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Bonus (Nice to Have):
Exposure to AI, NLP, OCR, or text-processing pipelines.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise deployments or integrations.
Prior work experience in regulated industries such as legal, finance, healthcare, or compliance.
