SUMMARY OF ROLE:
- Support APAC markets on professional pest management (PPM) and mosquito management (MM) solution development
- Drive the planning, direction and execution of biological trials solution development
- Maintain awareness of regional developments in scientific knowledge, regulatory affairs, and activism that may dictate changes in stewardship &/or composition of our portfolios
- Build strong working relationships with external research partners, CROs, academic institutions, and technical stakeholders to broaden testing capability and accelerate technical development.
YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
Innovation
- Be the center of regional/ territory technical knowledge
- Lead the solution development by designing and executing research strategies that address market needs across APAC
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, methodologies and solution concepts that strengthen Envu's innovation pipeline and support long-term portfolio growth.
- Develop experimental plans, manage laboratory and field biological trials, analyse performance data, and translate outcomes into actionable product development decisions.
- Support Portfolio Life Cycle Management PPM & MM.
- Provide scientific and technical expertise to support product launches, positioning and registration-related documentation where required.Manage contract research and development (external)
Cross-functional work
- Collaborate with Early Development (ED) teams through idea generation from commercial team and customer insights using technical expertise/ knowledge exchange.
- Partner with global and regional R&D teams to align project priorities, share insights, and accelerate the advancement of key innovation initiatives.
- Coordinate with commercial team to plan and deliver technical training on trials, product performance and solution development insights Collaborate with portfolio team to evaluate potential 3rd party opportunities. Cross-fertilize with other regions for new technologies and a.i. sources/ potentials.
Science-sharing
- Represent Envu at scientific and industry events
- Ensure competitive overview & trends are available and insights leveraged
ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE
Main requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in entomology, with at least 5 years of industry experience in discipline research and development or MSc in entomology with 10 years of industry experience in PPM & MM
- Research experience in alternative technologies
- Research experience in areas relevant to regional business
- Good communication skills in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
- Strong data-driven decision making
- Flexible to travel as and when required
