Job Description - Solution Architect (Cloud & AI/ML)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with over 10 years of expertise in designing and delivering public-facing, enterprise-grade cloud solutions. The role will focus on architecting secure, scalable platforms and enabling AI/ML capabilities within regulated environments, particularly in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise-grade cloud solutions on AWS and/or Azure for public-facing applications
- Lead end-to-end solution delivery from architecture design to production deployment
- Architect and implement AI/ML infrastructure, including data pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring frameworks
- Develop secure and compliant architectures aligned with regulatory and government standards
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Design and deploy containerised and microservices-based architectures using Kubernetes and Docker
- Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Integrate security solutions such as WAF, CDN, IAM, encryption, and monitoring tools
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and infrastructure teams
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of systems
- Support innovation initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT, with strong focus on solution architecture
- Proven experience in public-facing, enterprise-scale cloud solutions (AWS/Azure)
- Hands-on experience in AI/ML infrastructure and data platforms
- Strong understanding of regulated environments (financial services / government)
- Experience with microservices architecture and API design
- Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Expertise in security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in AWS/Azure (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert)
- Experience working with government agencies or financial institutions in Singapore
- Familiarity with data analytics, big data platforms, and real-time processing systems
- Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, ML Ops platforms)
