Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role. We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect (Data Protection & Resiliency) to drive solution design and technical engagements across Singapore and the APJ region. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, leading architecture discussions and designing resilient data protection strategies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

This role requires regional travel to support customer engagements, workshops, and project implementations. Daily responsibilities include analyzing business processes, and delivering tailored solutions that align with client objectives. The Solutions Architect will also act as a key technical advisor, bridging the gap between technical and business teams to ensure the success of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for data protection, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) initiatives
• Engage customers across Singapore and APJ to understand business and technical requirements, translating them into scalable, resilient solution designs
• Design solutions covering backup, replication, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and data governance
• Conduct technical workshops, solution presentations, and executive-level engagements
• Lead and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) and technical validations
• Prepare solution architecture designs, technical proposals, and RFP/RFI responses
• Provide advisory on best practices, compliance, and ransomware protection strategies
• Collaborate with sales, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive deal closure
• Support implementation and deployment for complex or strategic projects

Core Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Based in Singapore, with fluency in English and Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Senior Pre-Sales Engineer / Technical Consultant
• Willingness to travel across Singapore and APJ region for customer engagements

Must-Have Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in data protection, backup, disaster recovery (DR), and data resiliency architectures
• Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with leading platforms such as:

Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veritas NetBackup (NBU) etc

• Solid understanding of:

RPO / RTO design and optimization

Backup methodologies (full, incremental, differential)

Replication, failover, and DR orchestration

Cyber resilience and ransomware recovery strategies

Infrastructure & Platform Knowledge

• Virtualization: VMware (vSphere, VCF) or equivalent
• Operating Systems: Strong hands-on experience in Linux and Windows
• Databases: Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL (backup/recovery concepts)
• Cloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / Alibaba Cloud / Huawei Cloud / HCS
• Storage: SAN, NAS, snapshots, and replication technologies

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in hybrid cloud / multi-cloud data protection strategies
• Exposure to Kubernetes / container backup
• Knowledge of big data platforms (Hadoop, Hive, HDFS)
• Experience handling enterprise RFPs and large-scale deployments
• Relevant certifications (VMware, Cloud, Backup vendors)
