Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and define end-to-end solution architectures for the Avaloq Core Banking platform and Wealth Management ecosystem.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and robust technical solutions.
• Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for platform enhancements, customizations, and version upgrades.
• Define integration architectures using REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, and ESB.
• Drive platform harmonization and standardization across business units to minimize customizations and reduce TCO.
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards, security policies, and technology roadmaps.
• Establish architectural governance frameworks, conduct solution design reviews, and ensure technical compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, configuration, and testing teams.
• Lead architecture initiatives for banking transformations, platform migrations, system integrations, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors for successful solution delivery.
• Work with ITSM teams to ensure smooth transition from project delivery to BAU operations.
• Ensure platform scalability, availability, performance, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong experience in Solution Architecture and Core Banking platforms.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect specifically within the Avaloq Banking Suite.
• Strong understanding of Avaloq architecture, configurations, customizations, integrations, and platform capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of Core Banking and Wealth Management domains, including Portfolio Management, Securities Trading, Asset Management, CRM, Compliance, and Payments.
• Strong expertise in REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, and ESB.
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture, platform modernization, system integration, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of architectural governance, solution design principles, security standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Experience in platform migrations, version upgrades, and impact assessments.
• Understanding of ITSM, production readiness, and BAU transition processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture certifications are an added advantage.
• Avaloq ABR/S certification is NOT mandatory. Candidates will be evaluated based on their Avaloq expertise, architectural experience, and technical leadership capabilities.
