Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to take ownership of end-to-end architecture design and ensure system solutions align with the customer's Enterprise Architecture standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in system design, performance optimization, and solution delivery, with strong expertise in .NET and/or J2EE applications. This role requires both strategic architectural thinking and hands-on technical leadership, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with business and ICT objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

. Lead the end-to-end architecture for systems, ensuring designs are aligned with the customer's Enterprise Architecture.

. Translate business requirements, including application resiliency needs, into architectural specifications.

. Propose suitable products and solutions in line with Agency's Enterprise Architecture standards and technology directions.

. Design and maintain the architecture blueprint covering business, information, and ICT assets using multiple architectural models.

. Govern, review, and enhance the architecture blueprint to ensure alignment between business objectives and ICT solutions.

. Participate in the full project development lifecycle, from system prototyping to performance tuning and maintenance.

. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions such as cloud adoption, modernization of legacy systems, and use of SG Tech Stack.

. Review source code and technical solutions as part of the software development lifecycle.

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to define and drive architectural decisions.

Requirements:

. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

. Proven experience as a System Architect with strong expertise in system design, prototyping, performance optimization, and maintenance.

. Hands-on experience in full project development lifecycles.

. Strong experience designing and implementing .NET and/or J2EE applications.

. Excellent data modelling and SQL skills.

. Solid understanding of server-side development (.NET and/or Java), Service-Oriented

. Architectures (SOA), web services, and large-scale public-facing websites/e-services.
Strong technical skills with the ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement best-fit solutions.

. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop comprehensive, workable solutions.

. Results-driven and customer-oriented mindset.

. Strong organizational skills with proven experience leading teams or handling multiple stakeholders.
