Solution Architect - 6 Months Contract

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in translating business requirements into Tehnology solution architectures that align with the companys overall goals and Digital Strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and business analysts to design robust solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and clients to gather and understand system/application requirements.
• Analyse business needs and design technical solutions, including infrastructure architecture, data flow, and system integrations.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools aligned with the companys Digital Strategy.
• Develop cost models to support mine network planning within the Studies stream.
• Build prototypes or proof-of-concept implementations to validate proposed solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive implementation of solutions.
• Identify risks related to architecture, security, performance, or scalability and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed documentation of architecture designs and implementation guidelines.
• Ensure optimal performance of solutions while adhering to best practices for security and compliance.
• Assist project managers in estimating timelines, identifying dependencies, budgeting, and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:

• Qualifications: Relevant formal tertiary qualifications in technology, business, or equivalent.
• Industry Experience: Proven experience in commodity trading systems and delivering solutions within the mining industry is great to have.
• Technical Expertise: At least 10 years of experience designing solutions that integrate security, networking, infrastructure, and data flows. Familiarity with Cisco industrial networks is highly desirable.
• Risk Mitigation & Security Knowledge: Ability to identify risks early in the design phase and implement security best practices aligned with industry standards such as ISO27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Integration Skills: Expertise in ensuring smooth integration with existing systems while promoting interoperability and data exchange.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including executives, project managers, developers, and end-users.
