Sole Legal Counsel Commercial & Operations

A Singapore-based logistics and supply chain company is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its growing business. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a broad, hands-on in-house role covering commercial contracting, logistics and transportation, cross-border operations, claims and disputes, and general regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, logistics, transportation, warehousing, fulfilment, vendor and technology agreements
• Advise the business on contractual risks, liability, indemnities, service levels and dispute resolution
• Support cross-border logistics and operational arrangements, including carriers, freight forwarders, subcontractors and overseas partners
• Manage day-to-day commercial claims and disputes, working with external counsel where required
• Advise on Singapore and regional regulatory, data protection and employment matters
• Partner closely with commercial, operations, finance, HR and senior management teams to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice

Requirements:

• Singapore-qualified lawyer with approximately 4–6 PQE
• Strong commercial contracts experience, ideally with in-house exposure
• Experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain, e-commerce or technology-enabled services is advantageous
• Strong understanding of contractual risk, negotiation and dispute resolution
• Commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable working independently in a fast-growing business environment
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required to communicate effectively with and manage stakeholders in both languages
