Job Summary
We are a Singapore Catalist-listed company seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead solar EPC project development and execution, driving innovative solutions and delivering high-impact renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead solar EPC project development by conducting market research, performing feasibility studies, and formulating bid strategies to secure new projects
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and partners to optimize project execution plans and improve bid success rates
- Monitor on-site construction progress, ensure reliability, and proactively mitigate project risks to maintain schedule and quality
- Conduct site visits and feasibility assessments to align solar system designs with client requirements and project goals
- Design photovoltaic (PV) layouts for rooftop and ground-mounted systems, including single line diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, sizing calculations, and bills of quantities (BOQ)
- Provide technical recommendations to maximize system efficiency while ensuring compliance with Energy Market Authority (EMA) and Building and Construction Authority (BCA) regulations
- Utilize AutoCAD proficiently to create PV layout designs that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and submit technical documentation such as construction drawings, approval filings, and test reports to secure necessary regulatory approvals
- Develop detailed project schedules and oversee construction activities to ensure timely project delivery
- Conduct factory inspections and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) checks to comply with international standards such as IEC 62446
- Deliver end-to-end technical support including system commissioning, operations and maintenance (O&M) optimization, and client training to ensure successful project handover and performance
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in the solar energy industry, including managing at least 2 projects of 500kW capacity or greater
- Proven ability to sell complex technical solutions and services successfully
- Strong knowledge of solar energy and battery energy storage system (BESS) technologies, applications, and market dynamics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to translate technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach
- Proficiency in project management and effective teamwork
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Clean Energy) or a related technical field
- Possession of own vehicle (advantageous for site visits and project coordination)
