Financial Analyst

Job Description:

Peak Energy is seeking a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Power Sales & Marketing team on project financing and M&A activities related to Distributed Generation (C&I) solar projects. This position is ideal for a candidate with a focused background in finance, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for Distributed Generation solar projects.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Due Diligence:

• Conduct thorough due diligence for project financing, ensuring accurate assessment of financial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and perform financial analysis.

M&A Activity:

• Support M&A activities related to Distributed Generation solar projects.
• Evaluate potential investment opportunities, perform financial analysis, and assist in deal structuring.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
• Support strategic decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is required.
• MBA in Finance is highly desirable.
• Experience in conducting due diligence for renewable project financing is mandatory.
• Experience in creating and utilizing financial models for M&A activity, particularly in the Distributed Generation solar sector is mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
