Job Description
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review, and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of software applications.
- Conduct API testing to validate functionality, reliability, performance, and data integrity of application interfaces.
- Identify, log, track, and manage software defects throughout the testing lifecycle using defect-tracking tools.
- Perform defect analysis, coordinate with development teams for issue resolution, and validate fixes through retesting.
- Manage test execution activities, maintain test documentation, and report testing progress, results, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure product quality.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test estimation, and release validation activities.
- Ensure adequate test coverage and adherence to software quality standards and testing processes.
- Prepare test reports and communicate risks, issues, and testing status to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in API Testing and Software Testing.
- Expertise in Test Case Design, Test Execution, and Test Management.
- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and system testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar.
- Experience in API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and software testing methodologies.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
