Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer for a short-term project in Singapore. The selected candidate will be responsible for validating software and firmware functionality, ensuring system reliability, and delivering high-quality test documentation within project timelines.

This role requires hands-on experience in firmware/software testing, GUI validation in embedded environments, and issue tracking using JIRA.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements.

• Perform manual test execution to validate software and firmware functionality.

• Conduct GUI testing in embedded system environments.

• Validate system performance and functionality to ensure the software/firmware works as intended.

• Log, track, and update defects using JIRA.

• Prepare and deliver detailed test reports and test result documentation.

• Collaborate closely with development and engineering teams to resolve issues.

• Support regression testing and re-validation after defect fixes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in Printer Firmware / Software Testing.

• Strong knowledge of embedded system testing.

• Hands-on experience in GUI testing.

• Basic understanding of simple network configuration.

• Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA.

• Ability to create structured documentation (test cases, reports, defect logs).

Preferred (Optional) Skills

• Experience working with Raspberry Pi.

• Familiarity with Linux environments.

• Exposure to firmware validation processes.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• 2+ years of relevant testing experience preferred.

Project Duration

• 4 to 5 months (extendable based on project needs)
