Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Software Test Engineer with hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium. The candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver
- Execute test cases (manual & automated) and analyze test results
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand requirements
- Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution
- Perform regression, functional, and smoke testing
- Maintain test documentation and reports
- Assist in improving automation frameworks and processes
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java / Python
- Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
- Familiarity with TestNG / JUnit frameworks
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA or similar
- Basic understanding of API testing (Postman or similar tools)
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Basic knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
