Job Scope:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager with solid expertise in Java-based enterprise application development, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies. The role involves leading development teams, managing large-scale enterprise systems, and delivering high-quality software solutions within Agile environments. The candidate will drive technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to engineering teams in delivering scalable enterprise applications and digital platforms.
- Contribute to technical design decisions and guide development approaches across multiple initiatives.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to development, testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, architects, and business teams, to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Apply Agile practices to support efficient development processes and continuous improvement in product delivery.
- Support and mentor engineers within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Ensure applications maintain high standards of performance, reliability, and security.
- Contribute to technology planning and architecture discussions to support long-term system scalability.
- Review technical deliverables and promote adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Assist with operational planning, including system maintenance, infrastructure optimization, and disaster recovery readiness.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development and engineering leadership, including managing large-scale enterprise application projects.
- Good expertise in enterprise Java development, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and frameworks such as Spring, Struts, and Hibernate.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies including AngularJS and NodeJS, and enterprise workflow platforms such as PEGA and BPM.
- Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), API development, and databases including Oracle, MySQL, and MS SQL.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with excellent system integration and enterprise application development capabilities.
- Proficiency in development and collaboration tools including Eclipse, IntelliJ, JDeveloper, SQL Developer, SSMS, PEGA Designer Studio, JIRA, and ServiceNow, across Windows and UNIX environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, team leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and distributed teams.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, PEGA Certified System Architect (CSA), Scrum Master, or Oracle Certified Professional - Java Programmer are advantageous.
