We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a hands-on Technical Manager to lead a cross-functional engineering team delivering scalable software and platform solutions.
You will drive technical direction, oversee end-to-end delivery, and coach engineers while ensuring best practices across Agile and DevOps environments.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and mentor engineering teams drive technical and leadership growth
- Manage delivery across multiple projects, ensuring timelines and quality
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and remove delivery impediments
Technical Strategy & Architecture
- Define software and platform architecture aligned with business goals
- Translate requirements into technical designs and specifications
- Oversee system design, implementation, and technical reviews
Engineering Excellence
- Drive improvements in scalability, performance, security, and reliability
- Implement Agile and DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, automated testing)
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, SDLC processes, and best practices
- Oversee production deployment readiness (monitoring, alerting, SLOs)
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
Requirements
- 7-12 years of software engineering experience, with 3-6+ years in leadership roles
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects
- Proficiency in at least two languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern SDLC practices
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
