Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Network Discovery & CMDB Engineer to support our Enterprise Service Management (ESM) onboarding initiative.

Job Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for network discovery, CMDB validation, and onboarding of 450+ network devices into the ServiceNow ESM platform. The role focuses on ensuring accurate configuration data, reliable discovery, and seamless integration with IT service management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute network discovery using ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Validate, reconcile, and remediate CMDB Configuration Item (CI) data.
• Onboard network devices, dependencies, and relationships into ServiceNow.
• Configure and refine discovery patterns, probes, and credentials.
• Troubleshoot discovery failures, data gaps, and CMDB quality issues.
• Document discovery procedures, onboarding processes, and CMDB standards.
• Support data-quality governance and knowledge transfer to the Network Operations team.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering or Network Operations.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Strong knowledge of CMDB data models, CI relationships, and data validation.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience in network asset discovery and IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Python or PowerShell scripting experience for automation and data reconciliation is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
