Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and support API integrations between applications and external/internal systems using middleware platforms including TIBCO, WebLogic, and WebSphere.

Install, configure, and manage middleware components such as:

o IBM WebSphere Application Server (7.x, 8.x, 9.x)

o Oracle WebLogic Server (11g, 12c, 14c)

o JBoss EAP 7.4, Apache Tomcat 7.x

o Apache HTTP Server, Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), IBM HTTP Server (IHS)

Work closely with application teams to support deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of middleware and integration services.

Administer and optimize TIBCO infrastructure, including BusinessWorks, EMS, and adapters for seamless enterprise data flow.

Support and troubleshoot Oracle databases (11g, 12c) used in conjunction with application servers.

Monitor performance and availability of middleware environments using tools like Nagios and custom in-house solutions.

Leverage scripting tools and automation frameworks to streamline deployments and environment management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, scalable middleware solutions and data integrations.

Provide L2/L3 production support, incident management, and resolution through tools such as ServiceNow and HP QC.

Document system configurations, workflows, and integration mappings as part of compliance and operational excellence.

Support hybrid cloud deployments leveraging Microsoft Azure (AZ-104 Certified environment).

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Middleware/Application Integration Engineer or in a similar role.

Bachelor degree in Engineering or similar relevant education background.

Proven experience with middleware technologies including WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat.

Solid understanding and hands-on experience with API integration using TIBCO and other middleware platforms.

Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (11g, 12c) and experience in supporting database-driven applications.

Experience working in enterprise environments involving high availability, scalability, and security.

Proficiency with Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris operating systems.

Familiar with integration tools and utilities: Putty, WinSCP, Jenkins, Oracle TOAD, uDeploy, etc.

Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification.

Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.

Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML data formats, and integration security (OAuth, SSL, etc.).

ITIL certification or experience working in a structured ITIL environment.

Familiarity with enterprise document/content platforms like OpenText and web services on IIS.
