Software Engineer Lead (Nodejs)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend applications using Node.js
• Architect and implement robust, secure, and high-performance APIs (RESTful / Microservices)
• Drive system integration initiatives across internal and external platforms (e.g., third-party APIs, banking systems, middleware)
• Review and optimize existing API frameworks and integration workflows for performance and reliability
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from requirement analysis to deployment and post-production support
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, Security) to ensure seamless delivery
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and documentation
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring system scalability and resilience
• Support CI/CD implementation and promote DevSecOps practices

Requirements

3.1.3. Dev Leads Scope

a. Technical Leadership & Architecture: Design and implementscalable, reliable, and secure microservices using Node.js, ensuring highperformance, low latency, and high availability.

b. Coding & Code Reviews: Actively develop core components andconduct rigorous code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, security,and quality standards.

c. Mentorship: Mentor and guide backend developers, improving teamtechnical capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

d. System Integration: Define and integrate RESTful APIs andevent-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka) to ensure seamless interdependencybetween systems.

e. Security & Compliance: Implement security-first codingpractices (OWASP Top 10) and ensure applications comply with MAS, GDPR, orother regional banking regulations.

f. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners,business analysts, and architects to translate business requirements intotechnical
