Cloud Platform Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions aligned with business and technology goals.
• Oversee cloud application architecture and deployment across public, private, and hybrid environments.
• Develop cloud adoption strategies and define best practices for cloud platform usage.
• Evaluate, recommend, and introduce cloud technologies and tools to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cloud strategies support organisational priorities and long-term architecture plans.
• Continuously assess and optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Lead workshops, technical discussions, and training sessions to share knowledge and promote architectural standards.
• Act as the subject matter expert, guiding teams, influencing decisions, and ensuring architectural integrity across all cloud-related initiatives.
• Support the design, configuration, and hardening of platforms such as Pega, Elastic, Kafka, and MSSQL.
• Architect and deliver high-availability solutions for critical components.
• Maintain and operationaliZe cloud platforms, collaborate with third-party vendors, and drive issue reporting and remediation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cloud architecture or cloud platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and hardening Pega, Elastic, Kafka, and MSSQL.
• Proven experience delivering high-availability architectures and resilient cloud solutions.
• Solid background in cloud operations, vendor management, issue remediation, and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.
