Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong Java and AWS experience to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web-based applications. The role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions and delivering scalable applications using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyse user requirements and translate them into detailed application specifications.
Analyse, design, develop, test, implement and maintain enterprise and web-based applications.
Perform database design and application integration activities.
Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications using relevant frameworks and technologies.
Support web application development, enhancement, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Work with users, project teams and vendors to deliver application solutions.
Conduct application testing and quality assurance activities.
Manage project-related activities and coordinate with vendors where required

Technical Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation and QA.
Strong hands-on experience in Java Enterprise Edition / Java technologies.
Proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate and/or JPA.
Experience with Angular/AngularJS, jQuery or equivalent UI frameworks.
Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, Web Services, AJAX and XML.
Experience with JBoss/WildFly and Apache/IIS or equivalent web servers.
Good experience with MS SQL, DB2 and/or Oracle databases.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL.
Experience with Linux/Red Hat Linux, Unix and Windows environments.
Experience with Eclipse/JDeveloper and application testing tools.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD).
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Able to work independently and manage project/vendor activities.

Preferred: Experience in COBOL, CICS and DB2.
