Overview
We are seeking a Lithography Tool Software Engineer to support semiconductor customers within regional operations. This role involves providing software support, troubleshooting, and technical coordination in a cleanroom manufacturing environment, while acting as a key liaison between local engineers, customers, and headquarters in Japan.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support in semiconductor cleanroom environments at customer facilities
- Deliver software support for semiconductor customers within assigned region
- Troubleshoot software issues and prepare technical reports for customers
- Set up, maintain, and manage lithography equipment and related support software
- Acquire and apply fundamental knowledge of lithography tools and operations in daily work
- Prepare software release notes and technical documentation in English
- Respond to support needs outside regular hours (weekends, holidays, or night shifts when required; infrequent)
- Support overseas business trips (primarily Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan, and potentially India in the future)
- Collaborate closely with local on-site engineers and Canon software engineers based overseas (mainly Japan)
- Communicate directly with customers on technical matters and provide clear reports
- Escalate software issues to Canon headquarters in Japan as required
- Plan and conduct software training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities for engineers and team members
- Act as a liaison between Canon headquarters in Japan and local engineers for software-related matters
Job Requirements
- Practical experience in software support for semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Required for communication with Japanese customers and headquarters
- Basic knowledge of Linux OS and experience with command-line operations
- Experience in reviewing customer specifications (including online specifications) and coordinating requirements is a plus
