Join the Wallet 1P Integrations team and help make Wallet an indispensable part of the Google experience! This role zeroes in on our crucial Gmail, Photos and Android integration, powering actionable, intelligent passes in Google Wallet. You'll enhance how we save and use data for receipts, flights, events, loyalty programs, and more, directly impacting millions of users.

Recent launches include improved Gmail, Chrome and Android passport saves to Wallet and autofill from Wallet. Upcoming projects involve expanding Gmail to parsing more attachments such as PDFs and images, and expanding to new, scalable user experiences on Android.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain features for importing pass data from Gmail, Photos or Android into Google Wallet. This includes verticals such as receipts, flight reservations, loyalty cards, event tickets, offers, and hotel reservations.
• Design and implement new features, improvements to existing features, and UI building blocks, with a focus on maintainability and reusability within the Google Wallet Android app and in Google Play Services modules.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and incorporating feedback to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Product Managers, UX, and other teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in machine learning and AI quality evaluations.
• Experience in backend systems and data processing.
