Responsibilities

The Trust and Safety (TnS) platform team is responsible for protecting our users from harmful content and abusive behaviors. With the continuous efforts of our trust and safety platform team, TikTok can provide the best user experience and bring joy to everyone in the world. Our team is responsible for achieving goals by building moderation desktop applications, Low-code engine & platform, and all kinds of supportive platforms across TnS organization.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex full-stack web applications (React/Vue + Node.js) that power Trust & Safety risk response and moderation workflows used by global operations teams.
- Build and evolve highly configurable, workflow-driven platforms (case lifecycle, approval flows, escalation paths) that support different regulatory, emergency, and enforcement scenarios across regions.
- Architect and optimize scalable, reliable, and low-latency systems to support high-volume, time-sensitive risk handling and collaboration.
- Work closely with Product, Data, Operations, and Policy teams across multiple geographies to translate complex Trust & Safety requirements into robust engineering solutions.
- Drive system-level improvements in stability, observability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery, ensuring platforms remain available during global incidents.
- Participate in cross-region on-call rotations and incident response for high-impact Trust & Safety events.
- Continuously research and apply advanced web and platform engineering techniques to improve performance, maintainability, and developer efficiency in large-scale TnS systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields from a reputable institution.
- 5+ years of industry experience delivering complex, production-grade full-stack systems, with ownership of end-to-end design, development, and rollout.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), CSS, and at least one modern frontend framework (React or Vue), with solid backend experience in Node.js.
- Hands-on experience building workflow-driven, user-facing platforms (e.g. case management, incident response, escalation handling), involving multi-step business logic and role-based access control.
- Experience working on Trust & Safety, content moderation, risk management, or compliance-related platforms, with understanding of human-in-the-loop operations and high reliability requirements.
- Proven experience collaborating with globally distributed teams, particularly across North America and Asia, supporting cross-region delivery and system continuity.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting global Trust & Safety operations or platforms with regulatory or emergency response requirements.
- Familiarity with incident management systems, low-code / workflow engines, or policy-driven platforms.- Strong product mindset and sense of ownership in building high-impact, user-facing platforms.
