We are looking for an experienced and versatile Software Engineer to join our team building a high-impact product used across multiple government agencies. This is a hands-on role covering full-stack development, DevOps automation, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
You will work closely with the Tech Lead, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
What You'll Do
Full-Stack Engineering
- Build and maintain frontend interfaces (React / React Native)
- Develop backend services using Node.js & TypeScript (NestJS a plus)
- Develop REST APIs integrating AWS services, Redis, MySQL/DynamoDB
- Debug, troubleshoot and ensure high code quality through reviews & testing
- Contribute to technical documentation and best practices
DevOps & Delivery
- Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Automate build, test and deployment processes
- Manage release workflows, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
- Provision and manage AWS environments using Terraform
- Maintain networking, security groups, load balancers
- Support observability, monitoring, DR readiness, and cost optimisation
Collaboration
- Participate in architecture discussions
- Mentor junior engineers
- Work closely with Product, QA, and Security teams
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- 2+ years DevOps or cloud experience
- Strong in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React/React Native
- Hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront)
- Good understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, Docker, Terraform
- Experience with MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, SQS/SNS
- Bonus: NestJS, microservices, distributed systems, DR/BCP, large enterprise/government projects
