Software engineer

Job Description

. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Software Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in Java application development and exposure to Angular.

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and understand business and functional requirements.

. Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Angular.

. Translate functional and technical specifications into scalable, efficient, and maintainable software solutions.

. Write clean, secure, reusable, and well-documented code in accordance with coding standards and best practices.

. Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support application integration.

. Perform unit testing and support integration testing, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

. Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.

. Implement software enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes as required.

. Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and compliance with security standards.

. Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

. Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

. 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

. Exposure to Angular or other modern front-end frameworks.

. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and software design principles.

. Experience in developing RESTful APIs and web-based applications.

. Knowledge of SQL databases and database design concepts.

. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies.

. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

. Experience with Spring Boot or other Java frameworks.

. Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.

. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.

. Familiarity with secure coding standards and enterprise application development.

. Basic understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architecture is an added advantage.
