Software Engineer - Java

Job Description

. We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer - Java with 2-3 years of experience in Java application development.

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications while ensuring high-quality code, adherence to development standards, and successful project delivery.

. Experience with Angular is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable working on application maintenance and enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities

. Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with Business Analysts and Team Leads.

. Translate functional specifications into technical designs and scalable application solutions.

. Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.

. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices.

. Participate in application configuration management, including software changes, documentation, and version control.

. Develop unit test cases, execute testing, and document results to ensure application quality.

. Support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production implementation activities. I

. nvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues through root cause analysis.

. Ensure application security and compliance with development and security guidelines.

. Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and knowledge sharing.

. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and application documentation.

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements and support ongoing maintenance initiatives.

Required Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

. 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

. Strong proficiency in Java and enterprise application development.

. Experience with Angular is highly preferred.

. Comfortable working on application maintenance, bug fixing, and enhancement projects.

. Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), coding standards, and development best practices.

. Experience in unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting applications.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

. Experience with enterprise Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar).

. Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.

. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.

. Experience working in Agile development environments.

. Understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
