About the Position
We are hiring a Software Engineer (Core Development) to design, build, and enhance enterprise-grade applications for a high-security government environment. This role requires strong backend development expertise and a deep understanding of system-level programming. You will be involved in full lifecycle development, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability in every delivery.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy tackling complex technical challenges and working in a structured Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain secure and scalable software solutions based on defined requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to translate functional needs into technical specifications.
- Produce clean, efficient, and robust code following established design patterns and coding standards.
- Optimize and refactor existing applications to improve system performance and reliability.
- Review peers code to uphold high-quality engineering practices across the team.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers, assisting them in resolving technical issues and improving development best practices.
- Keep up to date with emerging engineering trends and evaluate their applicability to ongoing projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience developing software applications in complex or enterprise environments.
- Mandatory Requirement:
Strong proficiency in Java or C++.
Python-only candidates will NOT be considered. - Hands-on experience with modern web technologies or frameworks such as React, Angular, or Node.js is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database systems (SQL & NoSQL).
- Familiarity with Git, SVN, or similar version control tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile team.
