Software Engineer

Boxy is redefining productivity with agents that seamlessly connects to the tools and apps individuals use daily — across messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, iMessage, and LinkedIn Messages.

Role Description

You will be working at the intersection of AI and consumer productivity, building the core systems that power Boxy's platform. Your duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

(a) designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining the Company's software products, systems, and infrastructure;

(b) building and improving AI-related product features, workflows, integrations, and internal tools — including integrations with messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, iMessage, and LinkedIn Messages;

(c) contributing to backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and production systems;

(d) researching and implementing on-device AI/ML capabilities in line with Boxy's privacy-first architecture;

(e) monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving performance, reliability, scalability, and security;

(f) collaborating with relevant team members to define, implement, and iterate on product features; and

(g) performing such other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Company consistent with your role, skills, and seniority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from the National University of Singapore (NUS) or Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
• Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident — we are unable to provide visa sponsorship
• Strong proficiency in Computer Science concepts, data structures, and system design
• Hands-on experience with backend web development, APIs, and distributed systems
• Strong programming skills with a focus on performance, scalability, and clean code
