Software Engineer (Backend)

Backend Engineer
Location: Singapore

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services for games and online services.

• Improve system performance, reliability and availability.

• Work with product and engineering teams to deliver features and troubleshoot production issues.

• Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

• 5-10 years of relevant backend development experience.

• Prior experience working in an internet company is required. Gaming industry experience is not required.

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, databases, caching and API design.

• Hands-on experience building and supporting high-concurrency production services.

• Proficiency in English for technical documentation and cross-team communication. Spoken Mandarin is required for technical discussions and production troubleshooting with Mandarin-speaking engineers who are not proficient in English.
