About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PCS Software Engineer supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing projects . You will be embedded within a large project team, playing a key role in the delivery, commissioning, and qualification of a Process Control System (PCS) for a new facility. This is a hands-on technical role suited for a driven engineer with a strong background in DeltaV systems and pharma environments.
Scope of Work
- Collaborate with multiple project workstreams to support the design and development of PCS software in partnership with the PCS vendor
- Develop Functional Specifications (FS) and Design Specifications (DS) in alignment with project requirements
- Review PCS-related design documentation and provide feedback to ensure compliance with user requirements and approved standards
- Witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to verify PCS software conforms to approved documentation
- Support Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) activities including cold and hot loop checks, network interface testing, batch software commissioning, and IQ/OQ qualification testing
- Support Engineering and Performance Process Qualification (PPQ) batches as required
- Track project deliverables, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to the agreed schedule
- Support and track change management processes throughout the project lifecycle
- Attend technical and project management meetings and provide monthly progress reports
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process control or automation engineering
- Hands-on experience with DeltaV PCS systems is mandatory
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred
- Proven experience in Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) activities including IQ and OQ
- Demonstrated ability to develop Functional Specifications and Design Specifications
- Familiar with GMP standards and change management processes
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within large cross-functional project teams
- Flexibility to work overtime or shift work during critical project phases when required
