In this role, you will support the core integration of Chrome and Android, powering the passes in Google Wallet. You will enhance how we save and auto-fill data for receipts, flights, events, loyalty programs, and more, impacting users.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain features for importing pass data from Chrome or Android into Google Wallet such as receipts, flight reservations, loyalty cards, event tickets, offers, and hotel reservations.
• Develop features and User Interface (UI) components for Google Wallet and Google Play Services, with focus on evaluating and improving Machine Learning server and on-device model performance.
• Participate in code reviews, provide and incorporate feedback to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with executive engineers, Product Managers, User Experience (UX), and other teams (e.g., Chrome and Android intelligence) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Preferred qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) evaluations.
• Experience with Bill of Quantities Java for back-end coding language.
• Experience in full-stack development.
