Summary

We are seeking a System Analyst / Solution Architect to ensure quality and consistency in our AI-first software development lifecycle. In this role, you will validate and enrich BRDs/PRDs produced by the Product Owner and Product Committee, ensuring they include correct non-functional requirements (NFRs), architectural considerations, and are translated into structured prompts for our AI-first IDEs.

Key Responsibilities

Software Systems Oversight

  • Oversee the design, development, and evaluation of software systems used across Liquid's core payment and AI-first platforms.

  • Guide the selection or adoption of new software solutions, ensuring they meet organisational requirements in performance, security, compliance, and scalability.

Quality, Performance & Delivery Governance

  • Monitor the results and quality of software solutions generated both manually and through AI-assisted development tools.

  • Establish quality gates across the SDLC to ensure all software projects and system enhancements meet architectural, security, and regulatory standards.

  • Review completed features and system updates to verify functional accuracy, performance benchmarks, and alignment with product objectives.

Technical Leadership & Proof-of-Concept Development

  • Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) for new features, architectures, and platform capabilities.

  • Provide technical expertise and advice to the Product Owner and engineering teams on feasibility, risks, solution options, and architectural trade-offs.

  • Validate that all POCs and proposed solutions appropriately address security, resilience, and risk considerations.

AI-First Development Enablement

  • Translate enriched BRDs/PRDs into structured, reusable prompts for the AI-first IDE, ensuring they accurately represent requirements and constraints.

  • Maintain and evolve prompt templates, architectural blueprints, and coding standards to ensure consistency across AI-generated output.

Architecture, Standards & System Integrity

  • Maintain Liquids technical rulebook, architectural patterns, approved frameworks, and system design guidelines.

  • Ensure software systems-whether AI-generated or manually engineered-adhere to established principles, NFRs, and platform strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Product Owner, Product Committee, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure seamless transition from business requirements to technical execution.

  • Coach engineers on interpreting AI-generated artefacts and applying architectural standards throughout development.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Software Developer, System Analyst, Solution Architect, Technical BA, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, microservices, and cloud architectures (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot) or willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of secure coding, performance tuning, and non-functional requirements.
  • Excellent ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and prompts.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Experience configuring enterprise IDEs or coding guidelines for teams.
  • Exposure to automated testing, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
  • Familiarity with compliance regimes (PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO27001).

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to shape a cutting-edge AI-first development process.
  • A high degree of autonomy and influence over quality gates and prompt engineering.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with rapid delivery cycles.
