We are looking for a talented candidate with several years of experience in software development, automated testing, and Quality Assurance to join our Software Development in Test team. This position will be at an individual contributor level as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.
As a member of the team, you will work closely with developers and business stakeholders to understand application features, create robust comprehensive test plans, and write and execute test cases. We look for well-rounded candidates with solid analytical skills, an enthusiasm for taking ownership of features, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work closely and communicate effectively.
Principal Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute regression, functional, load, integration and other tests against the Firms trading electronic systems, primarily the Trade Capture system
- Design, develop, and use frameworks and harnesses for automated testing
- Take full ownership of and maintain a robust QA environment, including test databases and system deployments
- Work closely with the global QA team to design and build integration tests
- Work with developers on improving system testability and creating testing environment
- Document test plans, procedures, and test cases
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance and automated testing within Financial Services Technology
- Proven track record of test automation, building test harnesses, and integrating automated testing tools and frameworks (Fluent style unit test framework is a big plus)
- Practical knowledge of SQL
- Proficiency with one or more programming languages (Java is a big plus)
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools (Github, Jenkins a plus)
- Knowledge in a variety of financial products
- Experience with Agile process and with Continuous Integration tools is a plus
- Experience using source control systems, such as git, in a multi-contributor setting is a plus
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills; attention to detail, thoroughness and strong ownership of work

- Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency
