Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust database solutions for various client projects.
• Maintain and optimize Oracle Databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Provide expertise and support for other database systems, including MySQL and MS SQL Server.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including those related to infrastructure, network, and storage.
• Perform database tuning, capacity planning, backup, and recovery.
• Develop and enforce database standards, best practices, and security policies.
• Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior DBAs and other technical staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10-15 yearsof experience as a Database Administrator, with a primary focus on Oracle Database.
• Extensive experience with other database systems such as MySQL and MS SQL Server.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues, including those related to infrastructure, network, and storage.
• Strong understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
• Oracle Database certification is highly preferred.
• Cloud platform certification (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
