Job Description
We are seeking an experienced GIS Software Developer with strong expertise in Enterprise GIS systems, spatial data management, and web GIS development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining GIS applications and geospatial platforms used across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise GIS applications using modern web technologies.
- Develop web mapping applications and spatial dashboards using GIS platforms and APIs.
- Build custom GIS tools and extensions to improve spatial analysis and data processing.
- Support ArcGIS Enterprise environments including Portal, ArcGIS Server, and enterprise geodatabases.
- Manage spatial data integration, migration, and maintenance.
- Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and system reliability of GIS platforms.
- Develop automation tools using Python (ArcPy) for geoprocessing and spatial workflows.
- Build scripts and utilities for data validation, transformation, and ETL processes.
- Utilize FME Desktop and FME Server for spatial data integration and transformation.
- Support deployment of GIS solutions in cloud environments such as AWS.
- Assist with GIS system architecture, scalability, and security in cloud infrastructure.
- Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Lead and mentor a team of GIS developers and engineers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, DevOps, and data teams.
- Manage project deliverables and ensure timely completion of development tasks.
- Prepare technical documentation including: System design documents, Architecture diagrams, Technical specifications.
- Provide project progress updates and reports to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in GIS development and geospatial technologies, with track record working with enterprise GIS platforms and large-scale spatial data systems.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as FME Desktop and FME Server for spatial data transformation and complete data integration platform.
- Strong experience in ESRI technologies and geospatial solutions, full-stack web development, cloud-based GIS environments, and automation using Python and .NET technologies.
- Proven experience leading technical teams or managing GIS projects.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of EC2, Load Balancers, IAM roles, and security configurations
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
- Experience developing automation scripts using Python (ArcPy) for GIS workflows
- Strong understanding of spatial data processing and geospatial analysis
- Experience implementing data integration workflows and spatial data pipelines
- Experience working with enterprise database systems, including Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, Enterprise Geodatabases.
- Knowledge of spatial database management and optimization
- Experience with PODS database is an advantage.
- Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise ecosystem including Enterprise, Server, portal, pro, online, experience builder, dashboard and hub.
