Socio-Economic Policy, Deputy Director
The Deputy Director (Policy Division) will provide leadership in shaping both economic and social policy agendas that directly impact workers lives and livelihoods. Working closely with senior leadership, internal divisions, and tripartite stakeholders, you will analyse trends, frame issues, and drive advocacy strategies to strengthen the national compact with workers.
You will be responsible for:
- Policy Development & Analysis: Monitor economic, labour market, and social developments conduct policy reviews identify worker pain points and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Advocacy & Influence: Develop robust policy positions, proposals, and campaign strategies to engage government agencies, partners, and stakeholders, influencing decision-making in areas such as wages, workplace safety, retirement adequacy, mental health, and the future of work.
- Leadership & Representation: Deputise the Director in steering departmental direction, provide secretariat support to inter-agency taskforces, and represent organisational positions to policymakers and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8-10 years experience in policy leadership, advocacy, or strategic planning, preferably with exposure to both economic and social policy domains.
- Knowledge of Singapore's socio-economic, labour, and political landscape, with a passion for advancing worker well-being.
- Experience in workplace safety, occupational health, or social protection policy.
- Proven management experience, with the ability to lead teams, mobilise stakeholders, and deliver results in complex environments.
