JYC @ Children's Society promotes positive development in children and youth, and reduce and prevent our youth from engaging in risky behaviours.
- Run the drop-in service. Provide befriending and guidance support for beneficiaries during daily drop-in and online platforms. Build relationships with new beneficiaries.
- Organise ad-hoc interest activities and outings to engage beneficiaries.
- Coordinate ad-hoc outings and activities for beneficiaries with external volunteers/ organisations professionally and effectively.
- Display usage of Developmental Relationships in building rapport/connection with beneficiaries.
- Build Developmental Relationships and/or Developmental Assets through IlluminatE sessions.
- Development of beneficiaries through Interest Groups / Activities / Camp.
- Sustained engagement work with beneficiaries across transition stages to build motivations towards aspirations.
- Develop and support evaluation of programs.
- Identify and assess needs for C&C intervention.
- Provide C&C support for beneficiaries and/or families as required.
- Engagement and partnership with parents towards parent-child relationships.
- Always uphold the highest professional disposition in all client and stakeholders interfacing
- Responsible for tasks assigned by Head
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology.
- Relevant work experience with children and youth preferred.
- Team player with passion in intensive, long term investment in children and youth.
- Able to work in environment requiring high levels of initiative, adaptability and responsibility, and willingness to grow professionally with the organisation.
