Job Role & Requirements
Working with girls, the successful candidate helps create and maintain a child-centred, homelike therapeutic community that is responsive to residents developmental needs, enabling them to grow holistically, work towards emotional stability, and develop their full potential.
Duties (not limited to the following) include:
- Carry out daily operational duties, such as supervising residents routines (meals, school, chores, and attendance at programmes), maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring the premises are kept clean.
- Participate in shift-to-shift communication, which includes completing daily documentation and providing important handover information to staff at the change of every shift.
- Assess and respond to crises or conflicts and escalate to the Residential Manager/Head of Home when needed.
- Participate in treatment/review meetings familiarise yourself with the background, treatment plan, and daily progress of all clients and help implement their treatment plans.
- Be a mentor/role model to residents, and provide feedback to the Residential Manager and Social Worker on residents behaviours and compliance with activities in their treatment plan.
Requirements
- 40 hours a week, 4-day work week (Able to work rotating shifts, including one weekend and public holidays)
- Candidates must be 21 years old and above (regulatory requirement)
