About the Role
We're looking for a Social Media Production Specialist to lead the production side of our social media content - from planning and filming to editing and publishing - while also being hands-on with day-to-day social media execution.
This is a hybrid role for someone who enjoys being behind the camera, understands how platforms work technically, and is willing to get involved in managing accounts, optimising content, and supporting digital marketing efforts.
If you care about craft, storytelling, and also want to understand how content performs in the real world, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Plan, shoot, and edit social media content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Handle on-site filming including setup, lighting, audio, and basic direction
- Edit videos for different formats and platform requirements
- Manage and publish content across social media accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Support content planning, calendars, and production schedules
- Work with the marketing team on basic social media optimisation (captions, hashtags, formats, timing)
- Assist in technical aspects of social media marketing such as ad-ready formats, content testing, and platform features
- Track basic content performance and contribute insights for improvement
- Maintain organised libraries of footage, assets, and project files
- Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and platform changes
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience or interest in video production and editing
- Comfortable handling filming equipment (camera, tripod, lighting, microphones)
- Proficient in video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Willingness to be hands-on beyond production, including account management and posting
- Basic understanding of how social media platforms and algorithms work
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and content pieces
- Curious, adaptable, and open to learning the technical side of digital marketing
Candidates with strong portfolios, personal projects, or relevant experience are welcome. Formal qualifications are less important than skills, attitude, and willingness to learn.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience running or managing brand social media accounts
- Basic exposure to social media ads or boosted posts
- Understanding of analytics, insights, or performance metrics
- Experience with photography, motion graphics, or basic animation
