We know Mutant is an odd name for an agency. While we'd love to give you a really cool reason for it like being exposed to gamma radiation or being bitten by a spider - our origin story is a little less dramatic.
In 2012, Mutant launched in Singapore as a PR agency with a vision for growth based on getting real business results for clients - without the agency fluff.
Since these humble beginnings, we've evolved into a regional agency with offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand & the Philippines - servicing clients across Asia Pacific and globally for their PR, content marketing, branding, and social media needs.

Are you the ONE we're looking for
We are looking for a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for growing, planning and executing social media strategies, across Mutant's social media teams alongside PR and Content team.
A confident and articulate individual who's well-versed in the latest trends and opportunities in the communications and social media industry, having a network of opportunities to tap into in Singapore and/or Asia. You must have a strong grasp of social media trends, content types across different platforms, and a visual eye to develop catchy content. Proven success matters, and we look forward to welcoming a hands-on social media lead who can drive social media strategies and execute successful campaigns that drive our clients business goals.

What you'll be doing:
- You'll lead and grow Mutant's social media offering that drives the creativity and impact for global, regional, and local client businesses.
- You'll take the lead in proactively managing Mutant's clients and act as their main point of contact, proposing social media strategies while executing them flawlessly alongside both PR and Content team.
- Apart from social media, you're prepared to lead, research, and execute creative strategies for global campaigns and content across leading and emerging social platforms.
- You'll collaborate across the Mutant teams to lead your work from research to execution, through audience insights, trend analysis, creative development, content creation, media executions, optimisation, and measurement.
- You're able to build content operations and processes across functions tailored to deliver at the speed of social.
- You can drive focus and understanding of how our client businesses work, and develop effective frameworks that measure performance and optimise future recommendations.
- You'll develop, grow, and mentor a social-first team of strategists, makers, data and social listening analysts, and community experts.
- You're the social media champion internally, by becoming a trusted and proactive resource for all things social at Mutant.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- You have 5-7+ years of experience in social media and preferably in an agency environment
- You have solid experience in social media, content, and communications strategy for global, regional, and local businesses
- You have experience working with clients ideally in B2B healthcare or technology industry
- You have a strong understanding of what makes the consumers tick across different platforms, and develop content that will drive action and ultimately, business results for the clients.
- You're able to develop creative social-first solutions, from large brand-level campaigns to the more tactical social channels, paid content, or creator activations
- You possess knowledge around the audience and social behaviour, and able to adapt at utilising social listening, social performance data, and broader strategy research tools to inform strategy and conduct reporting
- You have a track record in managing social media strategies that drive clients business
- You're a confident self-starter, able to drive conversations at the C-suite level
- You're someone who has a solid grasp of the Southeast Asia social media landscape with key relationships, and never shy away from providing counsel to senior clients.
- You have technical knowledge and skills in leveraging social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter) and tools (Sprout/Hubspot/any other CRM platform, Canva, etc)
- You have an excellent command of the English language
- You're meticulous and able to perform under pressure.
