Why This Role Matters
Vertical Institute is looking for a creative and confident Social Media Executive to help grow our digital presence through engaging and educational content.
This role combines content creation, social media management, and on-camera hosting. You will help bring our brand to life by producing content that inspires people to upgrade their careers through technology and digital skills.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Plan and manage structured monthly content calendars with the help of AI tools.
- Schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Support in creating content and replying on community engagement channels such as Telegram and Slack.
- Monitor performance metrics and audience engagement via biweekly reporting
- Maintain consistent brand messaging and visual identity.
Content Creation
- Produce short-form and long-form video content related to tech careers, digital skills, and industry insights
- Write engaging hooks, captions, and scripts for both organic and paid content.
- Collaborate with designers, cross-functional teams and external parties when needed
- Ensure content is optimised for each platform.
Video Hosting & Event Coverage
- Confidently appear on camera as a content host
- Present educational, career-focused, or promotional content
- Deliver content in a clear, engaging, and professional manner
- Help out with weekend and after hours events where necessary, with off in lieu given
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience); fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 6 months to 1 year of community management and hands-on experience in social media management and content creation.Proven track record in creating engaging content across platforms, with a portfolio showcasing social campaigns, videos and copywriting. Do share your social media handles or portfolio!
- Strong understanding of social media tools and analytics (e.g., Meta Insights, Google Analytics, Canva or similar) to track performance and inform decisions.
- Comfortable with an on-the-go role, including scheduling and attending physical and on-site meetings, interviews, events, or content shoots.
- Have experience with filming and video editing (e.g., Capcut).
- Outgoing and passionate about connecting and building rapport with diverse peoplefrom instructors and alumni to online audiences; open to feedback with a growth mindset to refine ideas and strategies.
- Enthusiastic about education, AI, and technology; an avid social media user who's in-the-know about trends, viral campaigns, and what resonates with aspiring professionals.
