About the Role
We are looking for creative, digitally-savvy content producers who can produce engaging and timely content across TikTok, Instagram, Telegram and more. You will help drive our social presence by turning ideas into compelling videos, carousels, and posts that inform, entertain, and spark conversation.
Working closely with the social media lead, you'll be responsible for producing content from start to finish - from ideation and filming to editing and publishing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and pitch creative, platform-native content ideas tailored to younger audiences
- Produce short-form videos and visual posts from end to end including scripting, filming, editing, captioning, and scheduling
- Support daily content output, including video stitches and explainers on trending topics
- Help adapt site stories into compelling social posts with strong headlines and visuals
- Collaborate with the editorial and design teams to ensure quality, consistency, and relevance
- Monitor trends across TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, and X to identify opportunities for quick-turn content
- Assist with planning content calendars and contributing to weekly brainstorms
Who we are looking for:
You should be someone who:
- Has 1-3 years of experience in social media or digital content production
- Has good instincts for what works on different platforms and why
- Has the ability to film and edit videos for TikTok/IG Reels using mobile-friendly tools like CapCut or Adobe PremierePro
- Has strong command of written English, with the ability to craft sharp, engaging captions and headlines
- Is organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Has a sharp sense of what's trending and how to spin it for a local, youthful audience
- Is able to work independently, but also take direction and feedback well
- Is comfortable with shift work and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

- Have experience appearing on camera or conducting on-the-ground interviews
- Have a strong grasp of local youth culture, conversations, and social trends
- Are passionate about news
- Have a sense of humour and positive attitude
