The SOAR Pre-Sales Engineer will work closely with partners, vendors, and internal teams to drive the adoption of SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) solutions across various sectors, including government, FSI, telco, and enterprises.
You will be responsible for delivering technical presentations, designing solutions, conducting proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, and supporting the sales team with your deep product and cybersecurity domain knowledge.
Responsibilities:
. Pre-Sales Support: Provide technical expertise to support sales activities, including customer meetings, solution presentations, technical workshops, and POCs for SOAR solutions.
. Solution Design: Understand customer requirements, design SOAR architecture and integration blueprints, and recommend tailored automation use cases.
. Partner Enablement: Deliver enablement sessions, demonstrations, and workshops to partners and resellers to upskill them on SOAR platforms.
. POC Ownership: Lead and execute POCs, assisting customers in validating solution capabilities, playbook creation, and demonstrating ROI and business value.
. Proposal Development: Assist in the creation of technical proposals, scope of work (SOW) documents, and Bill of Materials (BOM) related to SOAR deployments.
. Competitive Positioning: Articulate the unique value propositions of the SOAR solutions vs. competitors, addressing technical objections and differentiators.
. Collaboration: Work closely with vendors technical teams, internal post-sales teams, and the broader cybersecurity architecture team.
. Technical Evangelism: Represent the distributor at events, webinars, and cybersecurity forums to promote SOAR technologies and best practices.
. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest SOAR product updates, cybersecurity threats, incident response practices, and automation trends.
Requirements:
. 3-5 years of cybersecurity pre-sales, solution consulting, or architecture experience (minimum 1-2 years in SOAR or Security Operations technologies).
. Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related fields.
. Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, FortiSOAR, IBM Resilient, etc.).
. Good understanding of SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence solutions and how they integrate into SOAR platforms.
. Familiarity with security operations (SOC processes, incident response lifecycle, playbook design).
. Basic scripting or coding knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for SOAR playbook customization and API integrations.
. Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and integration methodologies.
. Strong grasp of cybersecurity frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, SANS).
. Relevant certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR Certified, Splunk Admin, CISSP, or cybersecurity-related certifications) are advantageous.
